For the kids who have ever seen their parent go to basic training/training/deployment/war...
For the parents who worried about their child's safety...

For the men and women who have, at any time, honorably served to protect us from potential/real/imminent threats...
Thank you. We have the life we have now thanks to you, to your sacrifices, to your knowledge that some things, like safety, like security, like freedom, are more important than we are. Happy Veteran's Day.
