Upcoming Events!!!

We have a lot of exciting things coming up this year and I am so excited about all of them. Josh and I are paying for both of our college programs out of pocket (gulp), so even though we both make good money, lots and lots of it goes to school tuition or books or fees or Mayan sacrifices or whatever I'm paying for these days.

Still, exciting plans. This weekend we're heading to a resort for a surprise thing (more later). We're planning a ski trip soon (I've never been but always wanted to go!). In March my sister, her spouse, Josh and I are heading to Florida for HARRY POTTER LAND!!

I know it's not called that, but whatevs. As a dedicated potter fan since I read the books at age 11 (I was Harry's age for the first 4 books which was VERY AWESOME lol), this is like Mecca and I cannot wait! Plus I've never traveled with another couple before, so we are really excited to spend the time with Jess and Ky.

Then in August,we'll be heading to San Diego for a week at the beach with my mother in law for Josh's birthday. She took us to Seattle in November and it was such an amazing trip.

I'm excited for a beach vacation... Now to start eating healthy to get ready for bathing suit season (yikes!).

So yes, exciting year coming up! I'll update more on this weekend later and for now, I'll leave you with some random photos I found on my phone.

Albuquerque

So this weekend, my family got together (all of us) for the first time in years to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday at a surprise reunion in a resort outside Albuquerque. To say she was surprised was an understatement!

We spent the weekend eating, drinking, shopping and playing chess in the lobby of our resort, and it was amazing. Growing up, my grandpa (who passed away in 2008) hosted week-long family reunions in places like Branson, Miami, Galveston, Montana and Arkansas. Because my mom's brothers are spread out from us (in Texas and Florida), this was often my only chance to see my cousins, and I loved it! This year we were a bigger group than ever, as three significant others joined us (Josh, Ky and Allie), but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone more often.

We got some photos done, so I'll finish with those:

I just love them!
